Backup & Restore

Use One-Click backup profiles, remote targets and Fleet-aware restoration without confusing recoverability with workload portability.

Backup is the recoverability path. It is distinct from Fleet import/export, whose purpose is planned movement across an environment boundary.

The backup tooling is based around rsync with optional rclone-backed remote destinations where configured. Profiles allow repeatable source/destination choices rather than rebuilding the same command by hand.

Operational Practice

• Test restores, not only backup creation.
• Never include remote-access credentials in public website files or copies of backups that you share.
• Record retention policy separately from application deployment policy.
• Before high-impact upgrades, create a recovery point appropriate to the workload.
