Nextcloud Hosting

Install and manage a self-hosted Nextcloud site with One-Click, including PHP, database, caching, HTTPS and maintenance checks.

One-Click documentation · Step-by-step guide
Before you begin

Use a domain you control, confirm DNS and web-server availability, and plan where your files and backups will live. Keep independent backups of both Nextcloud data and its database.

Create a Nextcloud Site

one-click --nextcloud-create

Follow the prompts for your domain and supported web server. One-Click coordinates application files, PHP, a site database and the web-server configuration. Check the final output and verify the site in a browser before storing important files.

Manage an Existing Installation

one-click --nextcloud-admin

Use the Nextcloud management workflow to inspect and maintain the site. Changes to PHP, the database or caching should be followed by a browser test and a check of application status.

After Installation

  1. Visit the site using its intended domain and confirm the sign-in page loads.
  2. Check HTTPS and certificate renewal using the shared One-Click SSL workflow.
  3. Verify PHP modules and the selected runtime are compatible with your Nextcloud release.
  4. Check database connectivity, background jobs and any enabled Redis service.
  5. Test file upload, download and the backup/restore procedure before relying on the installation.

Protect Your Data

A working web site alone is not a complete backup. Keep application configuration, the Nextcloud data directory and the database together in a consistent recovery plan. Verify restoration on a separate host or test site where possible.

If Setup Does not Complete

Check DNS, the web-server configuration test, selected PHP runtime and database connection. Do not treat a generated virtual host as evidence that Nextcloud itself is installed. Continue with Troubleshooting.
